Professor Sylvain W. Massaad is the founder and editor of The Legal Risk Advisory Blawg.
Professor Massaad’s expertise and views are informed by a decade of legal practice at leading law firms and at a monetary authority during which he advised on legal and compliance matters. His insights are further informed by another decade of academic and research experience during which he taught banking and financial regulations.
Professor Massaad is currently in charge of the banking law course at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Notre Dame University and teaches financial law at the Faculty of Law at Sagesse University. He was previously a law professor at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and the Antonine University.
Professor Massaad’s most recent publication is a book on banking regulations titled “Advanced Introduction to Banking Law”, published by CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform on June 29, 2017 (some of his books can be found here).
Professor Massaad holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Poitiers – France, an MBA from ESCP Europe, a legal translation diploma from France’s first law university: the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, in addition to numerous certifications.
